The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, fiends, and dark forces growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (played by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

With a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.

Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each adventurer has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their status as key figures in House Halovar could assist the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This means them few options but to head to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
